II. Love

The day Sasuke realized that he loved Naruto, several months younger, several inches shorter, they’d been in the library. A difficult test that affected their grades greatly was coming up in a week, and Naruto, after several weeks of procrastinating, begged Sasuke to tutor him. Sasuke agreed, even though he knew that within a minute, boredom would set and Naruto would become fidgety and distracted. Sure enough, Sasuke caught Naruto’s eyes off of his book, staring out at the window as his head slowly sank to the table, falling asleep. He had been a second away from telling Naruto off, to pay attention, when a cloud drifted out of the path of the sun, and the rays shone in his dark blue eyes, making the color intensify, and to shine like crystals. In that moment, when Sasuke was held captivated, he knew that he had found the one. And Sasuke thought, ‘Oh… fuck.’
